Role Overview: Banking Associate

As a Banking Associate, you will play a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. Your responsibilities will include accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. This position is part of the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business.

Key Responsibilities

The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role involves building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating for customers with proactive insights and recommendations.

You will use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships, understand customer financial needs, and promote and educate on products and services. The role includes servicing the customer on both the teller line and platform as needed, with the ability to service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online (digital) banking.

Education & Experience

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Other preferred qualifications include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A notary license is also preferred.

Customer Accountabilities

As a Banking Associate, you will consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You will also manage wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings, and engage in lobby leadership to represent the first point of contact for customer inquiries and help orchestrate the customer walk-in traffic.
