Responsibilities and Scope of the Role
The Banking Associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice on services, products, and tools. The role involves a variety of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about banking products and services.
Key responsibilities include building trust with customers through educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. The Banking Associate will also use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, deepen relationships, and attract and retain customers.
Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience, which can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Teller experience is preferred but not required.
The Banking Associate should have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer, Shareholder, and Employee/Team Accountabilities
