Banking Associate: Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD’s brand promise. The associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
As a Banking Associate, you’ll be expected to perform a wide range of tasks. These include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services. You’ll also be expected to understand customer financial needs and promote, educate, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal bank partner.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, along with at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Other required skills include strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and within deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Teller experience is preferred, and a Notary License is a plus.
Physical Requirements
The role demands performing sedentary work frequently and operating standard office equipment continuously. It may also require responding quickly to sounds and moving safely in confined spaces occasionally. Other physical activities may include lifting/carrying items under 25 lbs., bending, squatting, kneeling, and crawling.
