Who Can Apply?
The opportunity is exclusively open for candidates who are pursuing their associate’s degree from a community college or trade school. However, those currently pursuing their bachelors degree or higher will not be considered for this role.
What Does the Program Offer?
The Early Career Apprentice Program is a unique opportunity to earn while you learn on the job for a duration of 12-24 months. The program offers career guidance, mentorship, and the chance to gain real-world experience while still attending school. The Cash and Banking Operations Team, which manages over 1,200 bank accounts of the Corporation, will be your learning ground. The team ensures compliance with internal policies and corporate governance concerning cash and banking responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
The role involves performing banking-related activities such as: cash concentration, wire execution, bank fee analysis and related services. Key responsibilities include:
- Consolidating and entering wires in the Treasury workstation with timeliness and accuracy to aid short-term traders in making investment decisions.
- Preparing wire activity reports and analysis to optimize wire activity and cash flow activity.
- Displaying sound administration skills which include documentation, follow-up and adherence to established guidelines.
- Performing mission-critical related tasks during business resumption events.
- Providing optimal customer support to internal clients, colleagues and external financial service partners.
What Skills are Required?
Proven organizational and time management skills are essential, including the capacity to work autonomously and with minimal direction. It’s vital to be able to manage priorities, work with multiple concurrent demands in a time-sensitive environment, often under tight deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills are paramount, along with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft products – primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel is preferred. Quick learners of database-related computer software are welcome. Prior experience with banking terminology, functions, and the US banking system will be a plus. Compensation offered for this role ranges between $18 and $25 an hour, based on experience and qualifications.
