Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate will be responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The role involves a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, such as processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
This role entails building trust with customers, providing consultative support, advocating with proactive insights & recommendations, and using TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships. The Banking Associate will need to understand customer financial needs, promote and educate on products and services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner.
Qualifications and Skills
Eligible candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers. Prior experience as a teller is preferred. Excellent communication skills, strong organization skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines are essential for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer Service
As a Banking Associate, you will need to provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You will also be required to establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times to meet with a Banker, and engage in lobby leadership. Understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy is vital for this role.
