Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a key role in fulfilling TD’s Brand promise at the store location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location; to include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services. The Associate also delivers end-to-end advice customers expect: building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high school diploma or GED. One year of experience working with customers in any capacity, demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, and a Notary License are preferred. The candidate should also possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. The candidate should also have sound judgment in decision making and problem solving.
Customer Accountabilities
The Banking Associate consistently provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They establish and nurture customer relationships by actively listening to customer needs while engaging in additional conversations to identify any additional needs and offer a solution or partner referral. They also manage wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling or canceling client meetings.
Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. They accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests. They also ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures adhering to required controls and accurate documents.

Physical Requirements and Training
The job requires the candidate to perform multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, respond quickly to sounds, sit and stand frequently, walk frequently, and occasionally lift/carry items under 25 lbs. The candidate is also required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. TD will provide training and onboarding sessions to ensure that the new colleague has everything needed to succeed in the new role.
