Role Description & Key Responsibilities

The Banking Associate will work within the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business. This role involves performing a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role requires a strong understanding of customer financial needs and the ability to provide sound financial advice. The successful candidate will also have to service customers with everyday bank transactions, regulation E, mobile and online (digital) banking. The Banking Associate will also be responsible for managing leads, setting appointments, and prioritizing tasks.

Education & Experience

Interested applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. One year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred, and this could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is also preferred. In terms of skills, the candidate should possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, have strong organizational skills, and be able to work independently and within deadlines. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must, and a Notary License is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The role demands a range of physical activities. These include sitting and standing frequently, walking, and occasionally lifting/carrying items weighing less than 25 lbs. The job also requires the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, add, subtract, multiply and divide, and apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
