Personal & Commercial Banking: A Comprehensive Role
The Banking Associate role lies within the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business. As a Banking Associate, you play a significant role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This involves carrying out everyday banking transactions with accuracy and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Your role as a Banking Associate encompasses a broad range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. You will be responsible for providing end-to-end advice, engaging with customers to deepen relationships, understanding customer financial needs, and referring them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner when necessary. Your role also includes managing customer wait times, scheduling client meetings, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education & Experience: What You Need
The qualifications required for this role include a high school diploma or GED and at least a year of customer service experience, which can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Other skills and abilities, such as strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a Notary License, are preferred.
Building Customer Relationships
As a Banking Associate, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing customer relationships, managing customer inquiries, and orchestrating customer walk-in traffic. Your role includes understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy, considering the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders, and ensuring tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.
