Role Overview
The Banking Associate plays a critical role in upholding TD’s brand promise at a store location. This professional will be accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The depth and scope of this role will involve performing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Key Responsibilities
The Banking Associate will deliver end-to-end advice to the customers: building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. The professional will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships, understand customer financial needs, promote and educate on products and services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal bank partner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Experience and Skills
Applicants for this role must have a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Other desirable skills include strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands for this role include frequent sedentary work and performing multiple tasks. The employee will also be required to operate standard office equipment and respond quickly to sounds. Occasionally, the role may demand domestic travel, moving in confined spaces, and lifting items under 25 lbs.
