The Role of a Life Sciences Associate Banker
The Life Sciences Associate Banker role is multifaceted, involving not only financial management but also strategic advising and networking within the life sciences ecosystem. The position spans various FDA-regulated subsectors such as biotech, pharma services, medical devices, tools & diagnostics, CROs, and CDMOs.
As an Associate Banker, you will be responsible for providing banking solutions to meet clients’ needs in areas such as cash management, liquidity solutions, credit, FX, card, and merchant services. You will also act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the capital markets and connect with capital providers within the life sciences ecosystem.
Job Responsibilities
As a Life Sciences Associate Banker, you are expected to:

- Provide tailored banking solutions to clients from Series A through late-stage and public company growth.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
The role requires at least 2+ years of experience in a similar banking, venture, credit, or treasury role, ideally with exposure to the life sciences or healthcare sectors. The ideal applicant will have an outstanding professional reputation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to develop and retain new and profitable relationships in a highly competitive environment. They should also have extensive knowledge of products and services in the banking sector. The possession of FINRA Series 79, 63, and Securities Industry Essentials licenses is required or must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, superior knowledge of market dynamics, and excellent problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
