Role Description and Key Responsibilities
The Banking Associate role is a professional position in the banking industry with a broad range of responsibilities. You will be tasked with processing everyday banking transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on various banking products and services. The objective is to help customers achieve their financial goals.
As a Banking Associate, you will deliver end-to-end advice that customers expect by building trust through educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and offering proactive insights and recommendations. You will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, deepen relationships, and attract new ones. You will also be expected to understand customer financial needs and identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services or refer them to the appropriate team member or internal bank partner.
Education and Experience Requirements
To qualify for this role, you should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience could come from various fields, including volunteering, education, or military service. You will also be required to complete teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Additional skills such as excellent communication, effective problem-solving, strong organization, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer Accountabilities
This role places great emphasis on customer service. You will need to consistently deliver legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. You will also be responsible for managing wait times for customer appointments and understanding and implementing the Bank’s customer service strategy.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and being able to sit, stand, and walk frequently. Occasionally, you may also need to move safely in confined spaces, lift or carry items under 25 lbs., and bend or kneel. Furthermore, the role requires concentration for long periods of time, reading, writing, comprehending instructions, and basic mathematical skills.
