Key Responsibilities of a Banking Associate at TD
The Banking Associate is a crucial role within TD’s Personal & Commercial Banking line of business. The associate will perform a variety of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience Requirements
The minimum education requirement for this role is a high school diploma or GED. The ideal candidate would have at least a year’s experience working with customers in any capacity. This can include volunteer work, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, and the successful candidate will be required to complete Teller training and part of the platform training upon hire. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Notary License are also desirable.
Expectations and Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to consistently provide legendary customer service, manage wait times effectively, and understand and support the bank’s customer service strategy. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements, and ensuring ongoing compliance with TD’s Code of Conduct.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The role involves a mix of sedentary work and physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying. The ability to perform multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, respond quickly to sounds, and concentrate for long periods of time is essential. Occasional domestic travel may be required.
