Role and Responsibilities
As a Banking Associate, the candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. The role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The Banking Associate will also play a key role in processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate will also be tasked with building trust with customers and providing consultative support.
Depth & Scope of the Role
The Banking Associate role is wide and varied, spanning across multiple areas within a store location. From processing customer transactions to opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services, the associate is tasked with a wide range of responsibilities. In addition, the associate will be responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and uncovering customer financial needs. Furthermore, the associate will be expected to service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile, and online (digital) banking.
Education & Experience Required
Candidates for this role should have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Prior teller experience is preferred, and candidates should possess strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent are also required. Applicants must also demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate will be expected to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer. Furthermore, the associate will be responsible for accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.
Training & Onboarding
TD Bank will provide comprehensive training and onboarding sessions to ensure that the chosen candidate has all the necessary skills to succeed in their new role.
