About the Role
The Banking Associate is a professional in banking, playing a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. These tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. This role requires the associate to build trust with customers through educational content and tools, provide consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights and recommendations.
Moreover, you will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to attract and retain the customer. This role also involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions either on the teller line or on the platform while uncovering customer financial needs and educating on products, services, and tools or referring to the appropriate expert.
Education & Experience
The ideal candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Additionally, teller experience is preferred, and the candidate should have strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands for this role include frequent sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional domestic travel. You may also occasionally need to perform tasks such as lifting or carrying items under 25 lbs, bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead. The role requires you to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment continuously.
