Role Responsibilities and Scope
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store level. The responsibilities include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. These responsibilities include delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, using TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understanding customer financial needs to identify opportunities, completing everyday banking transactions, servicing customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts and more.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED. A year’s experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. This could include volunteering, education, or military experience. Other preferred qualifications include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is also preferred.
Customer, Shareholder, and Employee/Team Accountabilities
The Banking Associate’s role involves consistent legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The associate also ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.
As part of a team, the associate contributes to a positive work environment, collaborates with team members, and actively seeks opportunities to improve the delivery of work. The associate may also train and act as a mentor to newer colleagues.
Physical Requirements
The job involves domestic travel occasionally and requires the ability to perform sedentary work frequently. Other physical requirements include performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, responding quickly to sounds, sitting and standing frequently, and lifting/carrying weights under 25 lbs occasionally.
