Essential Job Functions
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This professional in banking is tasked with a wide range of responsibilities, from processing customer transactions to educating customers on banking products and services. The associate is expected to utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, provide financial advice, and deepen relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
Basic qualifications for the position include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience. This experience may be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Teller experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. A notary license is a plus.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. They must manage wait times and customer inquiries, understand and support the bank’s customer service strategy, and drive referrals to support the broader financial needs of customers.
As for the shareholders, the associate ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations, accurately processes cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions, and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements
The role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, occasional lifting and carrying, and continuous reading, writing, and arithmetic. It also involves occasional domestic travel and requires the ability to multitask and operate standard office equipment.
