TD, a globally recognized financial institution and the fifth-largest bank in North America, is actively seeking to fill a Banking Associate position at their Mercerville, New Jersey, branch in the United States of America. This role offers an engaging opportunity to serve as a professional in banking and play a vital part in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. The position is part-time, requiring 20 hours of work each week. The compensation ranges between $22.00 and $27.75 per hour, commensurate with the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge.
Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. Tasks range across multiple areas within a store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
The role demands the delivery of end-to-end advice customers expect, proactive insights & recommendations, and the use of TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers to attract, retain and deepen relationships. The Banking Associate will also need to understand customer financial needs to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner.
Education & Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate role must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer-related experience. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Preferred skills include demonstrated Customer Service skills, teller experience, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is also preferred.
Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, you must consistently provide legendary customer service while managing wait times, engaging in lobby leadership, and understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy. You must also establish and nurture customer relationships, engage in additional conversations to identify any additional needs and offer a solution or partner referral.
For shareholder accountabilities, you’ll be required to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act. You must also accurately and efficiently perform transactions as accountable for cash drawers, including maintaining cash limits and securing cash drawers/stations/balances out cash drawer and TCR.
