Role and Responsibilities of a Banking Associate at TD
The Banking Associate is a professional in banking who plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of a TD store location. The role involves processing customer transactions, providing advice on banking services and products, and offering educational support to help customers understand how to best use these services and tools. The associate is also tasked with opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services.
As a Banking Associate, you will perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas. You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, including building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. You will use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships, understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner.
Requirements for the Position
The ideal candidate for this position will have a high school diploma or GED. At least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred, as is demonstrated customer service skills. Teller experience is also preferred. Organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential for this role. A Notary License is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements and Work Location
The job location is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America. The role is primarily sedentary, with frequent periods of sitting, standing, and walking required. Occasional lifting and carrying of items under 25 lbs may be necessary. The banking associate may also need to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment continuously.
Compensation and Work Hours
The position offers fair and equitable compensation opportunities, with a pay range of $22.00 – $27.75 USD per hour. The work schedule includes 20 hours per week, with the potential for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
