Role and Responsibilities of a Banking Associate
The Banking Associate plays a vital role in boosting TD’s brand presence at a store location. This professional is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools that help customers achieve their financial goals.
The scope of the role is broad, encompassing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. The tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about all banking products and services. In addition, the associate is responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions either on the teller line or the platform.
Education and Experience
TD Bank seeks candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. Applicants with demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, and strong organizational abilities are preferred. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, be able to work independently, prioritize work, and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
Other required qualities include the ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to schedule and prioritize work. A Notary License is preferred but not mandatory.
Customer Accountabilities and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. They must understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy and consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.
From a shareholder’s perspective, the Banking Associate ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.
