Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays an instrumental role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the Harleysville store location. The role encompasses a wide range of tasks including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and providing comprehensive advice on banking products and services. The associate is expected to build trust with customers through educational content and tools, provide consultative support, and make proactive insights and recommendations. In addition, they are responsible for utilizing TD’s systems and tools to deepen customer relationships, identify financial needs, and promote products and services.
Education and Experience Requirements
TD Bank requires the Banking Associate to have a high school diploma or GED. While experience in working with customers in any capacity is preferred, one year of such experience can be demonstrated through activities such as volunteering, education, or military service. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required. The associate must also be willing to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
While the role requires occasional domestic travel, it does not involve international travel. The associate will need to perform sedentary work frequently and execute multiple tasks continuously. They must be able to respond quickly to sounds and operate standard office equipment. The job requires frequent periods of sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional lifting/carrying of weights under and over 25 lbs. The associate is also required to apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
