Job Description: Banking Associate
The Banking Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. They are responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. This role requires a high level of customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of banking products and services.
Job Depth & Scope:
The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. They provide end-to-end advice customers expect, build trust with educational content & tools, offer consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights & recommendations.
Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or GED. A year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred, whether it be volunteering, education, or military experience. It is also preferred if the candidate has demonstrated customer service skills and teller experience. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess strong organizational, communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Customer Accountabilities:
The Banking Associate is expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They also manage wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling or canceling client meetings, establish and nurture customer relationships, and consider the impact of their decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.
Shareholder Accountabilities:
The Banking Associate is responsible for ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer. They accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests, ensuring compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

They actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards, and take ownership of their career and aspirations. Physical Requirements:
The Banking Associate role involves a range of physical activities. These include domestic travel on occasion, performing sedentary work frequently, operating standard office equipment continuously, and occasionally lifting or carrying items under 25 lbs. The role also requires the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, read, write and comprehend instructions, and apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
