Do you have an interest in finance and a knack for building relationships? If so, consider a career as a Treasury Sales Associate in Commercial Banking. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to new sales targets, manage business relationships, and achieve portfolio growth objectives. You will participate in a three-year development plan, designed to develop your skills over time and set you on a path to more senior roles within the Treasury Solutions team, such as a Treasury Management Officer position.

Responsibilities of a Treasury Sales Associate

As a Treasury Sales Associate, you’ll work closely with the Treasury Management Officer (TMO) on client proposals. This involves identifying appropriate Treasury solutions, performing cost and benefit analysis, competitive pricing, and running profitability models.

You’ll also assist with client call preparation, creating relationship review materials, pitch books, account plans, and conducting customer research. Your role involves understanding the client’s Treasury cash management structure and objectives, coordinating with product partners to develop comprehensive Treasury solutions, and understanding competitors’ products and positioning within the client & market.

To ensure smooth operations, you’ll work with the TMO’s throughout the sales cycle to manage the pipeline and ensure services and pricing are set up timely and accurately. You’ll also collaborate with internal partners to ensure successful implementation, product ramp-up, and accurate pricing and billing.

Qualifications and Skills for Success

So, what do you need to succeed in this role? A Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of relevant banking and treasury experience are essential. You should be able to manage time effectively, organize and plan well, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.

You must also understand Treasury Solutions products, the pricing philosophy, and the billing process and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) is a requirement. If you have an ambition to develop into an individual sales contributor, this role could be a perfect fit.

Preferred qualifications include an interest in working with experienced Treasury partners to recognize a client’s cash flow needs and apply appropriate banking solutions, sales, portfolio management or relationship management experience, and qualitative and quantitative skills.
