The Hybrid Role of the Inside Sales Manager

The Inside Sales Manager is not merely a sales role. It also involves managing sales processes at scale and providing continuous insights and analytics. This position is responsible for managing a team of 4-6 Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) and running campaigns to support Sales KPIs. They also support the recruitment, training, and onboarding of ISRs, ensure the KPIs of each ISR and the program overall are met and prepare regular reports on team performance. This role is also tasked with creating and optimizing sales and client check-in messaging and product positioning.

Qualifications for the Inside Sales Manager Role

The basic qualifications for the Inside Sales Manager position are a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of relevant work experience in consulting or equivalent, or a High School Diploma GED and 12 years of equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include 3 years of experience managing an Inside Sales team, knowledge of banking products, financial statements, and sales processes, and experience using and developing reports with data analytics, data visualization, and presentation tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and CRM software like Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce. Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, ownership, attention to detail and solid analytical, process, and problem-solving skills are also required.

The base pay for this position ranges from $130,000 – $170,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors. In addition to the base pay, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and other awards.
