USAA is offering an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Supervisor, Bank Teller Operations. This sensitive profile position involves supervising USAA Bank Tellers who complete bank transactions with outstanding customer service. The role requires dedication to delivering simple, real-time, friction-less member experiences while providing relevant advice and product solutions. Additionally, this role includes developing employees through regular mentorship and feedback that leads to improved results.
The position requires compliance with prescribed policies, procedures, and regulations associated with USAA’s banking products. As a sensitive position, it carries the authority and ability to conduct in-scope activities, such as the movement of USAA or Member funds. Employees in this role are required to fulfill a Mandatory Time-Away (MTA) requirement of 10 consecutive business days each calendar year.
This role offers a flexible work environment, requiring the individual to be in the office five days per week, including every other Saturday. The position is based in San Antonio, TX, and unfortunately, relocation assistance is not available.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supervisor, Bank Teller Operations, you will have a range of responsibilities. These include reconciling and maintaining the vault, teller cash drawers, the general ledger according to policy, and other bank-related items. This role also involves conducting scheduled and random audits on Teller cash drawers and monitoring cash on hand and cash variance reports.
You will be responsible for forecasting, monitoring, tracking, and balancing cash flow daily to meet financial obligations. In addition, you will be responsible for scanning, processing, and balancing of the teller proof work in preparation for electronic files for transmitting to data processing and/or correspondent bank.
Moreover, you will be tasked with building and being responsible for a team of Tellers through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, mentor and support, performance management, and managerial activities. You will also need to ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What You Need to Bring
An advanced knowledge of applicable banking regulations, guidelines, and procedures, including the PATRIOT Act – Anti-money Laundering, Regulation CC, OFAC, etc., is essential for this role.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $45,470 – $81,490. USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure competitiveness. Actual salary for this role may vary by location. Employees may also be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
