The role involves leading the entire lifecycle of initiatives, from setting the initial vision to end-to-end execution. They are responsible for facilitating and enabling platform vision building across large organizations. This role requires a balance of managing existing intent efficiently and owning new initiatives with autonomy.

A critical aspect of this role is a commitment to curiosity, specifically leveraging AI and Large Language Model tools to bring efficiency to both the role itself and the broader organization to unlock maximum value. Essential Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate should be adept at developing and implementing strategic programs, understanding prioritization and delivery roadmaps, and influencing stakeholder teams. They should exhibit strong business judgment, influencing skills, leadership, and integrity.

The basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of experience in Chief of Staff, Tech Program Management, Product Management, or Project Management. Preferred qualifications include experience in strategy development, budgeting and labor strategy, driving organizational change and operational excellence, and partnering with engineering and product teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial, and other benefits that support the total well-being of its employees. The salary for this role varies by location, with ranges between $245,100 – $335,700 for the Sr. Director, Chief of Staff. The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
