Sr Account Manager, Banking at Northern Trust
The role of a Sr Account Manager in the Banking division of Northern Trust is crucial. The candidate is required to handle a multitude of responsibilities, including serving as the primary point of contact for complex client inquiries relating to banking products and services.
Responsibilities
As a Sr Account Manager, you’ll be supporting the design and implementation of customized banking solutions, including treasury management, for both new and existing Wealth Management clients. You’ll assist bankers with internal account administration, business development initiatives, and client presentations. This will involve gathering financial statements, conducting industry research, performing basic feasibility analyses, and compiling required credit documentation.
The role also requires you to act as a liaison with the National Credit Center throughout the credit underwriting lifecycle, from inception through approval and ongoing monitoring. You’ll also coordinate with Client Service Support Teams (CSST) to execute daily client transaction activities, including payments, fees, and borrowing transactions.
As a Sr Account Manager, it’s your responsibility to develop and oversee action plans addressing client servicing needs, coordinating with cross-functional partners to ensure timely execution and follow-ups. You’ll also serve as a subject matter resource for the relationship servicing team for highly complex Wealth Management relationships.
Knowledge and Skills
The role demands a strong understanding of banking products and services, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. You should also have the ability to manage complex client relationships and coordinate across multiple internal partners. Moreover, strong communication skills are a must to convey complex information clearly to clients and colleagues.
Experience
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the fields of financial services, accounting, or related areas is required. Prior experience in a client servicing or relationship support role is also essential.
Work Environment
This is an in-office position located at 4747 Executive Dr San Diego, CA 92121. The candidate is expected to work onsite Monday-Friday to support effective collaboration, teamwork, and client service delivery. The salary range for this position is $77,625 – 128,225 USD.
