Account Manager Role
This office-based position requires the Account Manager to be responsible for coordinating the account administration for Banking clients. This includes responding to client inquiries, overseeing transaction processing, and assisting Private Bankers in business development. The role also involves interacting with the operations servicing team and resolving operational or processing issues.
Key Responsibilities
The Account Manager performs a variety of tasks including being the initial contact for complex client or partner inquiries for banking products and services. They also assist with creating and implementing complex banking solutions for new and existing Wealth Management clients.
They play a significant role in assisting bankers with internal administration of accounts, business development, and client presentations. This includes due diligence at the onset of a credit opportunity which involves gathering financial statements, industry research, basic feasibility analysis, and other credit information required to assess a loan.
They also work closely with the Operations team on deposit related transaction processing which includes account opening, exception clearing, overdrafts, among others. They oversee the development of appropriate action plans for client servicing and coordinates with other team members across disciplines to ensure execution and follow-up.
Successful Candidate Attributes
The successful candidate will have knowledge of banking products and services, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, and at least 5 years of experience in financial servicing/accounting fields with a client servicing background.
The salary range for this position is $67,500 – 111,500 USD, with a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
