Key Responsibilities of a Full Stack Software Engineer
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, your responsibilities will vary greatly. You will collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies. You will also be expected to stay on top of tech trends and learn new technologies, participate in both internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
Moreover, you will collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that will empower millions of Americans to achieve financial empowerment. Tools and languages you will be using include JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
Basic and Preferred Qualifications
The basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply). However, the preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go, 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service, 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks, and 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

In terms of salary, the minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role vary by location, and this information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations. For instance, in Riverwoods, IL, the range is $147,100 – $167,900 for a Senior Software Engineer, while in McLean, VA, it’s $161,800 – $184,600.
