Key Responsibilities of the Role
As the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, the successful candidate will be tasked with leading a team of software engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy software products and services. In addition to this, the candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and deliver on customer needs, recruit and develop top talents in the software engineering field, and establish software development methodologies that drive quality, speed, and efficiency.
What Makes the Ideal Candidate?
The ideal candidate for this role is expected to have a solid understanding of software development and deployment processes and best practices, experience with modern programming languages like Java, C#, and Python, and a strong sense of communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. The candidate should also be capable of managing budgets and resources effectively, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not obligatory, experience with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure, and familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes will be considered as an added advantage. Experience with modern front-end development frameworks such as React or Angular, an understanding of event-driven architecture, and a background in coaching and developing engineers through senior levels are also preferred.
Working Conditions and Benefits
The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. However, flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support project demands is expected. The incumbent can be located anywhere within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK).

Remuneration
Arvest values its employees and offers competitive compensation packages. The pay for the Senior Manager, Software Engineering role is based on a number of factors, including the successful candidate’s job-related knowledge and skills, qualifications, and prior experience. The pay range for this role is $150,000 – $155,000 per year.
