A Glimpse of the Team

As a Product Manager in the Bank Data Team, you will be part of a team that is passionate about creating the future of banking. This team of product managers, engineers, data scientists, and analysts have one common goal – to build a real-time, intelligent bank. Your role will involve developing strategies to modernize the way data is published and consumed at Capital One. This will require understanding the present state of affairs and the future requirements, and crafting a strategy that brings the team’s dreams to reality.

In this role, you will be expected to display proficiency in five core areas that form the basis of successful Product management at Capital One:

  • Human Centered: This involves a keen focus on the needs of both internal and external customers, with a goal to reimagine and innovate product solutions.
  • Business Focused: Aiming to deliver game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence.
  • Technology Driven: Leveraging technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value.
  • Integrated Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks.
  • Transformational Leadership: Leading cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment.

Qualifications

The basic qualifications for this role include at least 5 years of experience in Product Management, and either a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.

The preferred qualification is experience in translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products.
