Job Overview: Senior Associate, Website Experimentation Specialist
The Consumer Bank Marketing Technology group at Capital One is looking for a Senior Associate, Website Experimentation Specialist. The ideal candidate is expected to be a strategic thinker with the ability to curate, analyze, and execute meaningful tests. This role serves as the operational backbone of the experimentation team, bridging the gap between the Program Manager (Strategy) and the Testing Executionist (Technical Implementation).
The role involves ensuring the testing roadmap is organized, stakeholders are aligned, and insights are documented. The candidate will also collaborate with the Program Manager in building strategies and assist in creating tests using the testing tool. The ultimate goal is to streamline the experimentation process, enabling faster testing and more learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing Strategies: Work with the Program Manager to develop testing plans, curate new test ideas, and build testing framework decks.
- Test Execution: Collaborate with the lead test executionist to deliver tests in the pipeline and enhance the program’s experimentation capabilities.
- Roadmap & Pipeline Management: Maintain the experimentation backlog, manage the roadmap, and manage approvals. Document, score (BRICE), and ready all test ideas for the execution phase.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, gather requirements for upcoming tests, and keep stakeholders updated on progress.
- Process Optimization: Identify and rectify “leaks” in workflow, ensuring a smooth path from hypothesis to launch.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Manage the “Library of Insights,” archiving every test with clear takeaways to prevent learning the same lesson twice.
Qualifications
The basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s Degree or military experience, at least 2 years of multi-channel marketing experience, and at least 2 years of experience in planning, executing, and analyzing marketing programs. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience in a product marketing role, 3+ years of experience in financial services, and Agile experience.
