Alkami’s Open Position: Sales Development Representative (SDR) Team Lead
Alkami is on the lookout for a high-performing Sales Development Representative (SDR) Team Lead to support its Community Banking go-to-market motion. This role is an excellent opportunity for an SDR who excels as an individual contributor and is passionate about uplifting the performance of a wider team through mentorship, enablement, and sharing best practices.
The SDR Team Lead will carry an individual quota while also serving as a peer leader for the SDR team. While this role does not include direct people management responsibilities, it plays a crucial role in enhancing prospecting execution, onboarding, training, and outbound strategy within the Community Banking segment.
Individual Contributor Responsibilities
The SDR Team Lead will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email, social selling, and account-based outreach. They will also engage and qualify key decision-makers within Community Banking organizations and convert inbound leads into high-quality Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for Account Executives. Furthermore, they will maintain clean, up-to-date records in the CRM and work closely with Marketing and Events teams to support campaign follow-up and event-driven outreach.
Team Lead Responsibilities
Beyond individual responsibilities, the SDR Team Lead will provide ongoing mentorship and peer support to SDRs within the Community Banking segment. They will assist with training initiatives, help develop and maintain SDR onboarding and training materials, and analyze and report on team-level prospecting performance and key metrics. They will also pilot new prospecting strategies and share recommendations for broader adoption.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
Ideal candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent work experience. Previous experience in sales development or business development, including outbound prospecting, is required. The candidate should have strong communication skills, be highly organized, process-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience using CRM and sales or marketing automation tools is necessary. Knowledge of or interest in the financial services industry, particularly Community Banking, is desirable. The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000.
