Job Description and Expectations
WSFS Bank’s Personal Bankers play a crucial role in providing products and services to enhance our Customer relationships. As a Personal Banker, you will get to know your customers, understand their financial needs, and recommend the appropriate products and services through in-person interactions and outbound calling efforts. This role includes opening new accounts and submitting loan applications, always in compliance with Bank policies and procedures, as well as regulatory banking requirements.
Providing excellent customer service is key in this role. You will be expected to resolve customer service issues, perform account maintenance requests, and promote the Bank’s digital banking services. Additionally, this role involves assisting Customers with teller transactions, and processing various transactions in a timely, efficient, accurate, and friendly manner.
Training and Development
To ensure our Personal Bankers are fully equipped to meet these expectations, WSFS Bank provides a continuous learning environment, challenging work, and opportunities for advancement. Over a 4-6 month training period, Personal Bankers will learn applications to conduct transaction processing and account opening, referral techniques, customer service and relationship building strategies. This training aims to position each Associate for success and to become an engaged member of the organization.
Working Hours and Benefits
As a Personal Banker at WSFS Bank, you will work on a full-time basis, 40 hours per week, with a flexible rotating weekly schedule. It is required that you are available to work 2-3 Saturdays per month. This schedule can change at any time based on business needs. Qualifications
The minimum qualifications to become a Personal Banker at WSFS Bank include a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of face-to-face customer service experience. Previous banking and cash handling experience is also required, along with prior consultative sales experience. Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn multiple banking and software programs. Proven experience in a retail sales environment is strongly preferred.
