At Fifth Third Bank, we offer a range of career opportunities for people with different skills and experiences. One such opportunity is becoming a Retail Personal Banker II. This position is intended for selected candidates who will undergo a 4-8 week on-boarding and education program.
The program includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. At the end of the program, there is a certification to provide selected candidates the chance to demonstrate skills necessary to successfully perform a role within the Retail Personal Banker job family.
Role and Responsibilities
The Retail Personal Banker II role is a sales position with sales development and relationship building as its primary focus. The position involves the promotion of deposits, loans, fee-based services, and the retention of customers. The role also entails providing specialized care and service to existing and prospective bank customers.
As a Retail Personal Banker II, you will use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs. Your focus will be on cross-selling to existing customer base and engaging in outside sales activities. You will also establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners and refer customers when appropriate to provide timely, holistic financial solutions.

Requirements for the Role
For this role, a college degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience is required. Experience in the financial industry is preferred. The role also requires the ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and verbal/written communication.
Working Conditions
The working conditions entail a normal office environment with extended viewing of computer screens. The program will require the ability to travel within the affiliate for training, and scheduling flexibility. Travel outside of the affiliate will be required for various classroom training sessions.
