Job Opportunity: Managing Director
Webster Bank is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join the team as a Managing Director. This role is pivotal to the bank’s mission of providing exceptional services to its clients.
Key Responsibilities
The Managing Director is responsible for maintaining and developing a portfolio of relationships that lead to loans, deposits, and other revenue-generating products and services. The role requires the ability to manage and develop a network of business contacts, community leaders, executive management clients, prospect opportunities, and referral sources.
The Managing Director will be instrumental in growing and retaining relationships for targeted client groups. This includes coordinating and supporting all aspects of the relationship to ensure a successful outcome. The role also involves developing and delivering effective proposals for presentation to existing and potential clients.
Another key aspect of the role is the exercise of credit judgment in line with the department goals. The Managing Director will monitor and evaluate the creditworthiness of clients, negotiate loans according to established guidelines, and ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
Experience, Skills & Education
The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 8 years of experience managing commercial banking relationships. Advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) are preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required.
The candidate should have the ability to build and expand trusting relationships and partnerships. Knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, procedures and techniques, and a well-demonstrated understanding of loan risk factors would be a plus. The candidate should also have knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques and accounting. Exceptional business development skills are a must.
The estimated salary range for this position is $170,000.00 to $195,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
