As a Government Banking Industry Executive, you will have the responsibility to manage a team of 7 to 10 Bankers, guiding them in their business development efforts. The team’s focus is on cultivating commercial banking client relationships across the country, including cities, counties, school districts, and other government entities. This role also involves active collaboration with dedicated product specialists from various departments such as Treasury & Securities Services, Public Finance, Securities Trading, Asset Management, and Leasing. This collaborative effort aims to deliver the firm’s extensive services and products to clients and prospects.

Essential Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

An understanding of commercial banking products and services, coupled with strong knowledge of the region, is vital. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and strong technology experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong knowledge of regulatory and control framework, and effective organizational skills are also crucial for this role.

While a Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training are preferred, management experience in a commercial bank setting, specifically leading a commercial lending sales team, is highly desirable.
