Empower Your Career with Schwab
At Charles Schwab, we believe in the power of every individual to shape their own professional journey. We are committed to fostering an environment where innovative thought meets creative problem-solving. We challenge the status quo to bring transformation to the finance industry.
Joining our team means stepping into a role where you are encouraged to make an impact. We are not just about business; we are about empowering our employees to grow, learn, and leave their mark on the industry.
Your Opportunity at Schwab
Your career path at Schwab can start with our service team, the core of our commitment to helping clients take control of their financial futures. In this role, you will educate clients about investment strategies, trading tools, market mechanics, and retirement choices. You will be the advocate for clients, answering their queries, owning their concerns, and tackling complex issues to provide the best possible solutions.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to attend the Schwab Service Academy (SSA). This program provides you with paid training, study time, and support to secure your Securities Industry Essentials and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses. If you’re passionate about finance, thrive in a team setting, and are eager to serve clients, this role is a perfect fit for you.
Compensation and Benefits
At Schwab, we value our employees’ contributions and believe in compensating them well. The starting compensation for this position begins at $52,800 during training, depending on your experience. This is complemented by an annual bonus opportunity of 10% of your base pay and other eligible earnings.
Once you obtain the required licensing and meet performance-based pay increases, your total compensation may increase to $60,280 within your first year. This includes your base pay of $54,800 and a 10% bonus opportunity based on individual and corporate performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
While previous experience in finance is beneficial, it is not a necessity. We have seen many successful candidates from diverse backgrounds. All you need is a growth mindset, a willingness to learn, and a passion for serving others.
However, there are a few qualifications that we consider essential. You must be able to work full time on-site during our training program and be available for various shifts, including weekends and overnight, to serve our clients 24/7.
Preferred qualifications include previous customer service or client relationship experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field, ability to adapt to market changes, eagerness to learn about finance, robust communication skills, and a desire to be part of a supportive, collaborative team.
What’s in it for You?
At Schwab, we empower you to shape your future. We champion your growth through meaningful work, continuous learning, and a culture of trust and collaboration. We believe in balancing flexibility with the value of being together in person regularly.
Our comprehensive benefits package is designed to take care of the whole you, both today and in the future. It includes a 401(k) with a company match, an Employee stock purchase plan, paid time off for vacation and volunteering, a 28-day sabbatical after every five years of service for eligible positions, paid parental leave, family building benefits, tuition reimbursement, and health, dental, and vision insurance.
