Schwab Service Academy
Schwab provides a unique opportunity for its employees to take charge of their professional journey through the Schwab Service Academy. The academy offers paid training, study time, and support to obtain Securities Industry Essentials and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses. This is a great opportunity for those eager to pursue a career in finance, share Schwab’s passion for serving clients, and are available for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Compensation and Benefits
Schwab offers competitive pay and a bonus package that includes a starting compensation of $51,400 during training plus an annual bonus opportunity of 10% of your base pay and other eligible earnings. Potential increases to total compensation up to $58,740 within the first year upon obtaining the required licensing and achieving performance-based pay increases are also available. Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts include up to 20% additional compensation, dependent on the shift.
Job Requirements
If you’re not a finance expert, that’s okay. People from various backgrounds have found tremendous success at Schwab. The key is a growth mindset, a willingness to learn, and a passion for serving others. The ability to work Monday through Friday during Schwab’s training program is a requirement, as is the flexibility to work assigned shifts, including evenings, overnights, and weekends, after training is complete.
Preferred Qualifications
While a background in finance is not mandatory, some preferred qualifications include previous customer service or client relationship experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university, the ability to adapt to changes in the market and business, and a passion for providing service to clients. Candidates should also be motivated to learn about the securities industry and exhibit strong communication and client engagement skills. A desire to be part of a supportive and collaborative team, and a demonstrated success in navigating multiple computer applications are also assets.
