Job Opportunity at Nationwide Financial
This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis, a flexible work arrangement that allows for a balance between in-office and remote work. The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location: Grandview: 1000 Yard Street Grandview OH, 43215. The work schedule includes 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely. Please note that this role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization, and Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.
The successful candidate will be required to have at least 3 months of ALO Advisory Contact Center experience. The compensation grade for this role is C3.
Job Description Summary

The role involves providing timely, efficient service for an assigned product and/or service center internal and external customer. Your goal will be to ensure that Nationwide is providing extraordinary care to its customers through effective workflow management and meeting all required service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be tasked with processing business requests according to government regulations, contract provisions, and internal procedures and controls. Adherence to high standards of professional conduct consistent with the delivery of excellent customer service is mandatory.
Providing outstanding quality customer service by understanding and addressing customer needs and emphasizing timely responses is a key aspect of this role. You will also be expected to maintain current knowledge of contract and product provisions, administration of Nationwide products, processing systems, and related federal and state regulations.
As a representative, you will also have the opportunity to integrate lean methodology into daily interactions through problem-solving meetings and team huddles. Your role will involve consulting and interpreting contract provisions for current and past products and assumed business for policyholders, agents/brokers, and other operating units.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as per the requirements of the role.
Reporting Relationships and Skills
As a representative, you will report to the Operations Division Manager or Service Team Unit Manager. The ideal candidate should have a high school education, with undergraduate studies being an added advantage. One to three years of work experience with product-related customer service work experience is preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, basic analytical and problem resolution skills, and a proven ability to research, analyze and solve problems are vital for this role. A general knowledge of office practices, customer service, information systems, and insurance/financial services industry practices (i.e., annuities, mutual funds) is preferred.
