About the Financial Services Representative Role
Nationwide Financial is currently seeking a dedicated Financial Services Representative, with a focus on Annuity New Business, to join our team. In this role, you will process business requests, maintain high standards of professional conduct, and provide outstanding quality customer service. The ideal candidate will reside in Columbus, Ohio, as this role has weekly in-office expectations.
This position will be hired on a Success Flex basis, providing flexibility to meet both the demands of the role and the needs of the selected candidate. However, to be considered for this position, the candidate must reside within 35 miles of either Three Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215, or 1000 Yard Street Grandview OH, 43215.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
The Financial Services Representative will be responsible for processing business requests in accordance with government regulations, contract provisions, and internal procedures and controls. They will also be expected to adhere to high standards of professional conduct consistent with the delivery of excellent customer service.
Among the key responsibilities of the role are maintaining current knowledge of contract and product provisions, administration of Nationwide products, processing systems, and related federal and state regulations. The Representative will also integrate lean methodology into daily interactions, and consult and interpret contract provisions for past and current products for policyholders, agents/brokers, and other operating units.
Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates for the Financial Services Representative role should have completed high school studies, with undergraduate studies being desirable. Participation in technical coursework such as LOMA, CLU, ChFC is also desirable. A FINRA Series 6 license is preferred, and may be required, based on the assigned product/line-of-business or distribution system.
The ideal candidate will have one to three years of work experience, preferably involving product-related customer service. They should possess general knowledge of office practices, customer service, information systems, and insurance/financial services industry practices. Effective verbal and written communications skills, basic analytical and problem-resolution skills, and a proven ability to understand, anticipate and proactively act on customer needs are also crucial for success in this role.
