The service team at Schwab plays a crucial role in the company’s commitment to helping clients secure their financial futures. In this exciting role, you will learn to guide and educate clients about investment strategies, trading tools, market mechanics, and retirement choices.

As a Schwab representative, you will tackle complex issues head-on, ensuring that every client call is a step towards the best possible solution. You will attend the Schwab Service Academy, a platform that provides paid training, study time, and support to obtain your Securities Industry Essentials and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses.

Schwab offers a competitive pay and bonus package. During the training program, you will earn a starting compensation of $51,400 ($24.72/hr.), plus an annual bonus opportunity of 10% of your base pay and other eligible earnings. With the potential to increase your compensation to $58,740 within the first year, upon obtaining the required licensing and achieving performance-based pay increases.

For those who are eager to work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, Schwab offers up to 20% additional compensation, dependent on the shift.

Work Schedule and Requirements

During the on-site training program, you will work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Once the training is complete, you will work assigned shifts during evenings, overnight, and weekends to accommodate business needs.

There are benefits to working evenings, overnight, and weekend shifts, such as increased compensation and remote work opportunities for qualifying shifts. Your Talent Advisor will guide you through the training schedule, available shift groups, and the shift assignment process during the interview.

Some of the qualifications preferred by Schwab include previous customer service or client relationship experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university, the ability to adapt to changes in the market and business, a passion for providing service to clients, motivation to learn about the securities industry, robust communication skills, a desire to be part of a supportive and collaborative team, and demonstrated success navigating multiple computer applications.
