The Role of Financial Center Manager Associate

This program provides a well-rounded learning approach, preparing candidates for a pivotal role in the bank.

As a FCMA, you’ll gain exposure to various facets of banking, including Operations, Sales & Service, Lending, Small Business, Preferred and Sales & Operations Management. After successfully completing the training program, you’ll be placed in a Financial Center, where you’ll have the opportunity to apply and further strengthen your skills.

Core Responsibilities as a Financial Center Manager Associate

The FCMA role at Fifth Third Bank involves a wide range of responsibilities, each designed to promote growth, deepen customer relationships, and reinforce the bank’s core values and business strategies:

  • Completion of the FCMA roadmap and all onboarding activities to program completion, including the successful completion of a Consultative Selling Skills Certification.
  • Provision of a memorable customer experience to deepen Consumer and Small Business customer relationships.
  • A working knowledge of Fifth Third’s products, services, and processes to guide and lead the team.
  • Proficiency in the consultative sales process to proactively identify customers’ financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Development of an integrated book of business strategy to ensure all customers receive a Financial Needs Assessment (FNA) and are assigned to the best banker for proactive ongoing support.
  • Ability to source, develop, coach and lead a team aligned with the bank’s Core Values and business strategies.
  • Fostering a One Bank culture that collaboratively engages with business partners.
  • Actively participating in activities that benefit the communities the bank serves.
  • Adherence to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling ethical behavior expected from every employee.

Qualifications and Working Conditions

Fifth Third Bank seeks candidates with a college degree or at least two years of leadership experience in a sales environment. Other essential skills and attributes include professional verbal and written communication, credit and financial analysis, sales execution, business acumen, and sound decision-making abilities. Furthermore, S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required.

The working conditions for the role typically involve a normal office environment, extended viewing of computer screens, and periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint to attend meetings and/or training.
