Investment Banking Director Opportunity at TD Securities in New York

TD Securities, the prominent capital markets division of the Toronto-Dominion Bank, is currently seeking an experienced Investment Banking Director to support their Asset Management business. The position will be based out of their New York office. The role offers an annual salary range of $290,000 – $300,000 USD, depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Investment Banking Director within the Financial Institutions Group at TD Securities will provide a high level of product and coverage expertise, execution, and relationship building with clients at all levels. The role requires deep industry knowledge, particularly within the Asset Management sector.

The Director will be responsible for new revenue origination and overseeing transaction execution across product areas, with a focus on M&A idea generation and execution. The role involves a high level of market and industry expertise, development and oversight of high-impact client deliverables, detailed financial analyses, deal structuring, and cultivating and maintaining client relationships at all levels.

Additionally, the Director will be expected to foster innovation and collaboration across all levels of the team, maintain client confidentiality, keep senior coverage and product officers informed about deal progress or arising issues, and actively participate in the development and mentorship of junior team members.

Education and Experience

Candidates for the Investment Banking Director position should preferably have an undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics. They should have transaction experience leading financial advisory services, including M&A, Equity, and Debt financings for Asset Management companies.

Additionally, the candidate should have at least 7-10 years of related experience within the Financial Institutions sector, including at least 4 years of experience working with Asset Management companies. Holding Series 7, 79 and 63 registrations is also a requirement for this role.
