The Role of a Banking Center Manager at Webster

Webster is currently seeking a dedicated professional for the role of a Banking Center Manager. This role is all-encompassing, responsible for overseeing all functions, staff, and daily operations within a banking center. As a Banking Center Manager, you’ll play a key role in implementing the Webster banking center network strategy, which includes sales, customer service, P&L management, operations, and colleague development goals. A significant part of this role involves acquiring, integrating, and optimizing new and existing client relationships.

In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with various business segments and line of business partners, ensuring strong collaboration and communication.

Your Responsibilities as a Banking Center Manager

As a Banking Center Manager, you’ll be expected to consistently meet or exceed all sales goals, retention goals, and Superior Service Quality (SSQ) standards. Your duties will include developing, implementing, and managing a detailed business plan, and helping set team sales and service goals.

You’ll be tasked with expanding and retaining client relationships, actively cross-selling, and resolving client issues. You’ll also be responsible for supporting segmentation strategy with existing clients and implementing bank initiatives to support the banking center’s growth and profitability objectives. In addition, you’ll need to maintain a working knowledge of all Webster asset, liability, and partner products and services, as well as alternative delivery channels.

Part of your role will involve coaching, developing, and holding your team accountable, demonstrating leadership skills and leading by example. You’ll be expected to utilize and model usage of all available sales tools and resources, ensuring timely completion of audits, and meeting or exceeding branch operations review requirements.

Essential Skills and Abilities

For this role, you’ll need an intricate knowledge of retail banking products and services, strong customer service skills, relationship building skills, robust organizational skills, and comfort with current technology. Excellent communication skills are also a must.

Education and Experience Qualifications

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required, although a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) is preferred. You should also have 5-7 years of banking experience, with a proven track record in leadership, customer service, managerial, communication, and organization skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $115,000.00 USD annually, with actual salary varying up or down depending on job-related factors. This position is also eligible for incentive compensation.
