Join Our Tampa Office
We are currently seeking dedicated professionals to work in our Tampa office for future bank customer service and sales opportunities in 2025. These roles include a 15% shift differential for any weekday hours worked after 6:00 pm and any hours worked on Saturday or Sunday. Our weekly work schedules are flexible and will always include one weekend day. However, it’s important to note that relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Role of a Bank Customer Service Representative
As a Bank Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in facilitating our members’ financial security. You will be responsible for needs-based sales and services conversations on a single Banking line of business or product set. Your role may involve handling deposits, managing credit cards, or providing website customer support. By identifying immediate and underlying financial needs, you will make a difference to our members by offering relevant solutions through USAA Banking products and services.
Your Key Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities as a Bank Customer Service Representative will include handling inbound member calls in a fast-paced contact center environment, using effective communication, probing questions, and critical thinking skills to identify member needs. You will also need to develop banking product knowledge to attract new members and expand relationships with current members through product acquisition. Additionally, you will be expected to provide outstanding member service by demonstrating empathy, active listening, and professionalism.
What You Need
To qualify for this role, you will need a High School Diploma or a GED. You should have the ability to provide outstanding customer service, prioritize and multi-task while navigating through multiple business applications, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. A successful completion of a job-related assessment is also required.
What Sets You Apart
While the above skills are essential, certain attributes can set you apart from other candidates. These include US military experience through military service or being a military spouse/domestic partner, one year of customer contact experience in a needs-based sales environment, prior experience in a fast-paced contact center environment, or six months of experience frequently communicating with customers by phone.
Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this position is between $43,680.00 and $44,680.00. USAA maintains an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure competitiveness. You will be paid within this salary range based on your experience and the market data for the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. Additionally, employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
