What Does a Consumer Banker II Do?
As a Consumer Banker II, you will be tasked with providing an exceptional customer experience. Your role will involve solution-based conversations about our full range of banking products and services. This will be achieved through efficient inbound call handling in our state-of-the-art call center. In addition to supporting existing customers, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the bank’s marketing efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Consumer Banker II, your responsibilities will include:
- Applying knowledge of consumer banking products and financial need assessment tools to enhance the customer experience and help customers achieve their financial goals
- Using a consultative approach with current customers to uncover and identify their needs, while tailoring recommendations and solutions accordingly
- Maintaining a well-developed, working knowledge of our products, services, and processes
- Collaborating with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met
- Adhering to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and other related policies
What Are the Minimum Requirements?
To become a Consumer Banker II, you will need the following:
- A High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of customer service or call center experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience
- The ability to comfortably manage customer experience and financial consultation over the phone
- The capability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication
- A demonstrated ability in making sound decisions
- S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS web site provides the necessary MU4R Questions and registration requirements for this position
