Responsibilities of a Senior Relationship Banker

The Senior Relationship Banker is responsible for directly managing and growing a client portfolio of high-value consumer and small business clients. This role involves delivering an exceptional customer experience through engagement of customers in the branch, over the phone, and through collaboration with business partners.

Some of the key responsibilities include independently managing a portfolio comprised of high-value consumer clients and small business customers, proactively deepening relationships with new and existing customers, and being an expert on Santander products and services. The role also involves assessing customer needs, recommending and delivering needs-based solutions, and collaborating with team members and partners to achieve branch goals and drive overall performance.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education is preferred. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years’ experience selling products and/or services in an incentive-based environment and 2 years in Financial Services with direct experience acquiring new client relationships and developing existing client relationships is required. Candidates should also have strong financial acumen, a proven track record in sales and cross-selling products and services, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in using digital tools and technology.

Working Conditions and Rewards

The working conditions for this role involve frequent minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking. Depending on the location, occasional moving and lifting light equipment and/or furniture may be required. The base pay range for this position is from $54,375.00 USD to $90,000.00 USD, reflecting the annualized salary range.
