Arvest, a well-established financial institution, is extending an exciting opportunity for a leadership role as a Community Bank President. The position’s responsibilities revolve around the successful management and growth of the bank’s activities within a specific community. This position is based at 132 N. Curtis, Pea Ridge, AR and requires the incumbent to be available Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with the flexibility to work additional hours as needed. The preferred candidate should ideally live within the Pea Ridge, Bentonville, Rogers, or Bella Vista footprint.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
The Community Bank President is expected to lead the banking activities of a branch or multiple branches in alignment with the local bank’s overall goals and strategic objectives. This individual is held accountable for facilitating positive growth in multiple areas within the bank, including equity, profits, loans, deposits, return on assets, return on all investments, and quality and scope of financial services. Significant importance is also placed on enhancing the community image. Key duties include the generation of commercial loans, managing a personal commercial portfolio, and developing lenders in the branch.
This role also involves overseeing the business development efforts, referral generation, and community development activities in the community. A significant part of the job is to serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them to recognize opportunities and risks, and assisting them in achieving their goals through the use of bank products and services.
Qualification Requirements
To successfully perform the duties associated with this role, the individual must possess job-related knowledge and skills, qualifications, and prior experience. The education requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related experience. Relevant military experience is also recognized for veterans and transitioning service members. Additionally, the candidate should have at least eight years of lending related experience with emphasis in evaluation and origination of complex credits. Previous management experience is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Community Bank President may directly supervise one or more associates as assigned by the Manager. This entails carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, such as interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. They are also responsible for training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

The pay range for the Community Bank President role falls between $130,880 to $155,411 per year. This is based on a number of factors including the successful candidate’s job-related knowledge and skills, qualifications, and prior experience.
