There are different levels of Universal Associates, each with its unique set of responsibilities. These range from opening consumer and business deposit accounts to maintaining current registration with NMLS to originate home equity loans and lines.

Qualifications, Education, & Experience
To perform the role of a Universal Associate successfully, an individual must possess excellent language skills, technology skills, mathematical skills, and reasoning ability. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, with related experience and secondary education preferred. A background screening will also be conducted for the position.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent standing at a teller pod or sitting at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The employee may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds in weight and travel occasionally to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
