Job Description and Responsibilities
The Business Banking Specialist is tasked with building and maintaining business customer relationships, ensuring that all bank products and services best fulfill their various business needs. The job requires an individual with a strong initiative, an excellent work ethic, outstanding communication skills, and an exceptional customer service mindset. The role also demands a team player who can meet and exceed sales goals through proactive prospecting and diligent customer follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and advocate for the bank’s business customers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Regularly follow up with business customers to ensure satisfaction of services, and assess any new needs through follow-up and cross-selling opportunities.
- Make proactive calls and visits to prospective and current bank customers.
- Meet monthly sales/contact goal requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of products and services, including both loan and non-loan products.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.
- Interact with Loan Officers, Branch Management, and support staff for collaborative business sales efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Business Banking Specialist role should possess proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and excellent communication and negotiating skills. The ability to maintain interpersonal relationships, work and contribute in a team environment, demonstrate professionalism, and exhibit excellent organizational skills is also crucial.
Besides, the candidate must have a valid Driver’s License. Educational requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a college degree being preferred. No less than 2 years of sales experience is required, with previous business banking experience being an added advantage.
